toki pona is a minimalist conlang (constructed language) designed by sonja lang in 2001. its primary goal is simplicity, and as a result, it only has about 120 words. speakers of toki pona typically convey their thoughts in basic or vague terms that heavily depend on the context of the sentence.
it can be learned very quickly, but it takes longer to master it. for many tokiponists, speaking toki pona is more of an art form than a language.
